“Oh I do like to be beside the Cleeside”

January 23rd saw the opening of the second Heritage Lottery Funded exhibition at the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre. The exhibition which is running until March 22nd 2009 displays a variety of Cleethorpes inspired art pieces created by Foresight service users include water colour paintings, ceramics, photographs and a tactile art collage all themed around a 100 year history of Cleethorpes seafront. The opening day of the exhibition had over 100 visitors including Shona McIsaac Member of Parliament for Cleethorpes who thought the exhibition was “tremendous” and “the work the service users have done over the past year was truly inspiring”.

As well as the art exhibition Foresight drama group featured in a film directed by Sean Atkinson of Focus 7. The film focuses on the history of the seafront past and present and can be viewed in the video player below.
